Irish FA Website Kicks Off

If you haven’t been tuned into the UEFA Euros 2016 then where have you been hiding?

The whole nation is consumed by the UEFA Euros 2016 and us here at The Web Bureau are no different. Some of us were lucky enough to visit Paris for headlining games, while the majority of us supported from our boardroom.

The Web Bureau team were particularly excited to celebrate the Euros this time round after launching the new official Irish FA (IFA) website this year! This was a great project for us that involved our design, development and digital departments working closely together.

We initially communicated with the Irish FA to outline and understand their project goals and objectives: a crucial step in project planning. This allowed us to develop a strategy and identify timelines to create a functional but visually appealing website, that would be one of the best football association websites possible. The Web Bureau went on to design a website which supported the following bespoke IFA features:

  • Booking portal for customers
  • Online payment
  • A separate portal for both coaches and referees
  • Admin staff area
  • Fanzone
  • GAWA zone
  • Event management calendar

With all projects it’s vital to test and refine; we rigorously tested the IFA website before it’s launch to make sure it performed across desktop, mobile and on various browsers. We hope everyone using the Irish FA website will have a smooth journey whether their browsing the news, logging into their portal or making a purchase.

We’re very pleased with the outcome of our website, and even more proud of Northern Ireland players’ performance at the Euros 2016! As for the final… Wimbledon anyone?

To show our support we have nominated IFA for the Ulster Tatler 'NI Website of the Year!
